In 1982, starting with an idea and a dream, Ms. Brenda J. Hart founded Family Support Systems Unlimited, Inc., a not-for-profit community-based organization, in the borough of The Bronx. The mission of Family Support Systems is to provide preventive and supportive services to families under stress and to address the growing problems of family dysfunction and violence, and its impact on Bronx youth. The major programs and services provided by Family Support Systems include :
